EXCELLENCE 1

Pastor Cheri

PRAYER

Thank you Lord for another time to hear and receive your Word, we open our minds and hearts to receive all that your Word brings to us today, thank you for your wisdom and understanding that we will gain today from the entrance of your Word, we receive all,  in Jesus' Name. Amen.

 “According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue” (2 Peter 1:3).

It’s important to know that your life of excellence isn’t a future plan or a promise to be fulfilled when we get to heaven; no! It’s a present reality, for here and now! The Amplified Classic helps us to get a fuller grasp. It says, “For His divine power has bestowed upon us all things that [are requisite and suited] to life and godliness, through the [full, personal] knowledge of Him Who called us by and to His own glory and excellence (virtue).”

The day you received the Holy Spirit into your life, the excellent Spirit came to live in you.

This excellent Spirit is manifested in you when you choose to let Him have His way in your life and when you accept the Scriptures as His perfect will and live accordingly. You’ll suddenly discover that everyone will be esteemed in your eyes.

When you’re awakened to this truth, everything about you becomes top-class; your life becomes an expression of the perfections of Christ.

Daniel excelled above the presidents and satraps because he had an excellent spirit. The others saw that the king was always favourable towards Daniel, and it hurt them, so they conspired against him out of bitterness.

“Then this Daniel distinguished himself above the governors and satraps, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king gave thought to setting him over the whole realm.” Daniel 6:3

 When people who don’t have an excellent spirit see others being praised, promoted, and commended, they get hurt.

WHAT IS EXCELLENCE

When we talk about excellence, it simply means to excel, to go above and beyond; to be exceptional. But then, it’s a relative concept, meaning it can be measured at different levels of your life. Excellence, therefore, gives us the idea of growth, because of its relativeness. Thus, God wants you to be awakened to who you really are: a perfect and excellent person by nature.

Excellence isn’t just about being very good at something; it’s much more than that. Excellence refers to the quality of your personality; it’s something that comes from your spirit and reflects in everything you do. As a child of God, you’ve got the Holy Spirit, who is the Spirit of excellence, living in you. He brings excellence into your life, which means you can manifest this excellence to your world.

“But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a dedicated nation, [God’s] own purchased, special people, that you may set forth the wonderful deeds and display the virtues and perfections of Him Who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.” 1 Peter 2:9 AMPC

SHOW EXCELLENCE

“Don’t hide your light! Let it shine for all; let your good deeds glow for all to see, so that they will praise your heavenly Father.” Matthew 5:15-16 TLB

God is eager to show His excellence through you, in your school work, friendships, behavior, communication, and in everything else. As a student, He wants you to function with an excellent spirit and display His perfection in your academics. Through His excellence working in you, He wants to manifest His glory to the world. So let Him do so; don’t hide your excellence.

As a child of God, whatever you do, wherever you work, make up your mind to be excellent, because you're of an excellent spirit. Tell yourself, “If it's not excellent, I'm not done.” Everything you do and are involved with must be the best, because you're a child of the best. Don't settle for average.

NOTE THESE;

-       Be the best in all that you do.

-       Refuse to accept half measures or put up with mediocrity; pay attention to details in everything you do, even if you don’t feel like it.

-       Add value to yourself and to anything you’re involved in. And just like Daniel, as you manifest this excellence in every area of your life, you’ll stand out from the crowd (Daniel 6:3)!

Study these Scriptures;
